Therapy Services

Individual, couples, family, parenting, and perinatal support in Fort Worth, TX.

Perinatal & Maternal Mental Health

Pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood can bring unexpected emotional challenges. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, OCD, overwhelming worry, or simply don't feel like yourself, you don't have to navigate it alone.

Yvette provides compassionate, evidence-informed support for mothers and parents experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Through a collaborative approach, she helps clients better understand what they're experiencing, develop effective coping strategies, and feel more confident as they navigate this season of life.

Individual Therapy

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, therapy offers a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with yourself.

Yvette creates a warm, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Together, you'll explore what's been weighing on you, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change that extends beyond the therapy room.

Parenting Support

Parenting can be rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming, especially when you're navigating challenging behaviors, big emotions, or uncertainty about how to respond. Therapy can provide a space to better understand your child's needs while also supporting you in your own experience as a parent.

Together, we'll explore practical strategies that fit your family and help you feel more confident in your parenting. The goal is not to be a perfect parent, but to build a stronger connection with your child while finding approaches that work for your family.

Children (ages 3+)

Children may not always have the words to explain what they're feeling, but their behavior and play can communicate a lot. Therapy can provide children with a safe, supportive space to express themselves, work through challenges, and develop healthy ways of coping.

Yvette works with children ages 3 and up and incorporates Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) techniques to help children process emotions and experiences through play. Parents and caregivers are an important part of the process, and therapy may include parent support and guidance to help strengthen the relationship between you and your child.

Couples & Family Therapy

Relationships can be challenging, especially when communication breaks down, conflict keeps repeating, or life changes put added stress on the relationship. Couples and family therapy can provide a space to better understand one another, work through concerns, and strengthen your relationships.

Yvette takes a collaborative approach to help couples and families improve communication, navigate conflict, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another. Therapy is tailored to the needs of each relationship and the goals you want to work toward together.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in our first meeting?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and talk about what brought you to therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, goals, and what you'd like support with. It's also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for whether we're a good fit to work together.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. Virtual therapy is available throughout Texas. Virtual sessions can provide the flexibility to attend therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

What ages do you work with?

I work with children ages 3 and up, adolescents, and adults. I also work with parents, couples, and families.

What issues do you help with?

I support clients with concerns such as anxiety, postpartum and perinatal mental health, parenting challenges, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other challenges that may be affecting their everyday life.

Do you help with postpartum anxiety, depression, and OCD?

Yes. I work with individuals experiencing postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and the emotional challenges that can come with pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood.

This season can feel overwhelming, isolating, and very different from what many people expect. Therapy provides a space to process what you’re experiencing, better understand your emotions, and build support and coping strategies as you adjust.

Postpartum experiences can also impact partners and family dynamics, and I support individuals and families as they navigate these changes.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. You can request an appointment through this website or contact Center of Counseling for Family and Relationships (CCFAM) at (817) 232-9400 to schedule a session
